09-09-2008, 8:07 PM mother of 7 Joined on 09-10-2008 Posts 1 If anyone can help or suggest some help that would be great Here is my dilema. 2 years ago our house burned to the ground. It is the family home, my children being the fith generation here. Unfortunately I had not updated the insurance since my mom and dad owned it and there just wasn't enough to complete the rebuild. We have tried but the woindows and basement leak air and ther is no siding or bulkhead. the doors are not tied in properly. Winters have been increasingly difficult living this cold climate due to all of this. I quit my job in oct 2006 to work on the rebuild and recieved a fast lesson in condtruction. I have only recently been able to resecure a job as unemployment rates here are so high. We have shut off's on electric (nearlt 800.00 behind to them) and to cable (which i realize will be the next to goseeing as it isn't a nessessity). Taxews come due in october (next month) and I just have no idea how to get out of all of this mess any more. My children want and i can do nothing to fullfill them . .christmas is already looking bleak from here. my oldest told me yesterday all he wants for christmas is just not to wake up to a cold house so he can look forward to going down to see the tree. Things were so much differant before the fire . . . the family had two jobs and a secure house and dependable vehicles. nothing was ever perfect but we did better then just scraping by on prayers. The United Way of your state ( just put it in your search engine ) Salvation army as well as Catholic Charties in your county. All will give you phine numbers so call them right away.
